Meredith Karcz

Meredith Karcz is a Program Manager in the Department of Aquatic Resources & Fisheries Management at the Confederacy of Mainland Mi’kmaq (CMM) and helps support and oversee the staff working on coastal projects at CMM. With a Master of Science in seaweed ecology and a passion for botany, she is very excited to learn more about eelgrass in Nova Scotia through the CERI project, and participate firsthand in some active restoration. Meredith supports Kelly Ferrier in her role as the CMM Project Coordinator for CERI, helps build CERI community partnerships, and will be assisting in the collection of Traditional Mi’kmaw Knowledge about eelgrass beds in Mi’kma’ki.
