Lauren Watt

Lauren is a third year Marine Biology student at Dalhousie and joined our project in early fall. At school, she’s particularly interested in animal physiology and the impact climate change has on coastal ecosystems.  Her volunteer work with CERI consists of assisting with eelgrass phenotyping, contributing to research via diving and snorkeling, and also helping to create engaging and silly content for social media (credit for all of our reels!).Outside of her academic and volunteer work, Lauren loves to cook (which she used to do professionally), scuba dive, hike, and do photography, which helps her explore and capture the beauty of the natural world – above and below the waves!
