Kendra Mainprize

She/Her
Student Volunteer (FOME)

Kendra is in her 4th year of her undergraduate degree in marine biology at Dalhousie University with a certificate in Science Communication and Leadership. She recently joined the CERI team as a volunteer this summer, and she is loving the lab work such as sorting eelgrass shoots and processing sediment samples! She is also currently working on her honours project on the tolerance of blue mussels to rising temperatures due to climate change, and whether this differs between mussels in intertidal and subtidal environments. Besides eelgrass and mussels, Kendra also loves journalism and writing (stay tuned for some eelgrass-related articles!), hiking, and collecting house plants.
