Jillian McAuley

She/Her
Student Volunteer

Jillian is a 3rd year Marine biology student who has a passion for understanding aquatic ecosystems and the creatures that inhabit them. She joined CERI’s research team as a volunteer in November of 2023, where she has since volunteered with eelgrass DNA extractions, sediment coring and community outreach. Jillian is very passionate about educating the public about the importance of eelgrass in costal ecosystems, and providing ways that we can conserve this wonderful aquatic plant! Outside of school and CERI, Jillian loves to adventure the outdoors by going on hikes, snorkeling and fishing in the summers. She can never say no to an outdoor activity!
